Welcome to the 2025-26 school year!

Whether you are a family member of a new RCP student or a returning one, we hope this page will provide helpful information on how the Rose City Park Parent Teacher Organization (RCP PTO) can assist you this year and where to find our events and communications.

The RCP PTO

The Rose City Park Parent Teacher Organization's (RCP PTO) mission is to support the learning experience of all students at Rose City Park Elementary in alignment with our values of inclusiveness, anti-bias, and anti-racist education and enrichment. We aim to promote and encourage communication between parents and guardians, teachers, administration, and community members to foster equitable representation and collective action.

Our PTO is made up of a small board, a larger community panel that helps direct where our funds are used, and a group of classroom partners who help keep the communication flowing to and from the classrooms and the PTO board. We also have a Teacher Support Committee that isn't run by the board, but who we partner with to support our school teachers and staff throughout the year.

All parents, guardians, and teachers are automatically part of the PTO - no dues or enrollment required! You're welcome to attend our community meetings and to contact any of us at any time with questions, ideas, or requests for support.

Want to reach the PTO? Check us out on Konstella or email us at pto@rosecityparkpto.org at any time and we'll get back to you!

How can you help the PTO?

There are many ways that members of the RCP community can help to support the PTO:

  • Attend events - and let your friends and neighbors know when an event is coming up!

  • Propose new ideas for events, asks for help, student projects, etc. If the PTO can be involved in something, we want you to bring it to us to see if we can help you make it happen!

  • Join our Community Panel to help drive where PTO funds are spent and the types of events we put on. The commitment is very low - about one hour per month.

  • Become a Classroom Partner and keep folks updated in Konstella and in person regarding PTO events, asks, etc. as well as be a resources for parents to bring ideas and asks to the PTO. The commitment is low - occasional posts in your classroom Konstella group or talking with the families of your child's classmates offline.

  • Donate funds! We hold very few traditional fundraisers, so a general funds donation can help us to continue sponsoring school wide events, supply teachers and counselors with necessary items, etc.

  • Volunteer at the school or at events! Be sure that your PPS background check is current and then grab a spot when you see a sign up sheet posted.

Konstella Communications

The PTO uses Konstella for all of our communications. This user-friendly platform is available as an app for your mobile device and can be accessed by website.

Some of the key benefits and features of Konstella are:

  • All PTO announcements, events, and volunteer sign ups are posted in Konstella. You can also search for past posts.

  • We have a full school year calendar with all early release and no school days posted. You can also subscribe to sync it with your own personal device calendar.

  • Classroom groups are available to chat with families of other students in your child's class. Playdate? Birthday party? Need to know about homework? Here's a spot to ask folks!

  • Konstella email notifications can be translated into any language supported by Google Translate.

  • Ability to set the notifications you want. Want a daily email? You can request that. Want to not receive notifications and just browse at your own pace? You can do that too.
